Its been a LONG time coming

Its been quite a while since an update. This summer break has gone by way to fast. We started off the summer break in May, with a trip to Vegas. We stayed at the Luxor, then went to see Mystere. I loved the show and I was a bit surprised but I think Shay kinda liked it too! We were able to go to dinner with the Lovell's and see there darling new baby. The only thing bad about the trip is that I didn't get many pictures.

For Memorial weekend we went on a four wheeling ride. It was a wonderful day, we shoot guns and even had to fixed a flat.

Barb and Becky getting in a little practice.

The boys Shooting around.

Fixing the giant hole.

The Culprit.

We had a great weekend.

June was kind of a crazy month, we had a lot going on, but then it was July!

For the 4th we took our trailer up to what we like to call "Pig Camp". We have gone up there every weekend since. Its always nice and relaxing to get up on the mountain and out of the heat in town.

There was a lot of shooting bows at the pig target. This is where the PIG in "pig camp" comes from.

Nicole and Mary waiting for dinner.

Gracie and Cash loved giving each other kisses.

Barb and Stevie spent a lot of time catching butterflies.

And the fourwheelers are always a big hit.

Of course the boys (and Chy) have to cook their mutton!

and this year Nicole "did have a plate"

Its been a wonderful summer so far I'm just not quite ready to get back to school.

UPDATE

I know its been forever, and to prevent Steph’s threats of inappropriate comments, here’s an update...I haven’t stopped posting for lack of things going on its quite the opposite. We have both been pretty busy. I just finished my first semester of nursing school. I planned on spending two years of hating life, just trying to get through. So far I have honestly LOVED it! (Given it was only the first semester) but it’s been fun! I guess I never expected school to be fun! I have a lot of fun people in my class, and that helps a lot! Shays been staying busy with work, and he’s also taking classes online.
Need less to say he did a lot of hunting this fall. And we had a great time up the mountain.

Shays been wanting an eye patch for when he uses his spotting scope. After my many failed attempts at making one, I finally found a real one for him to use. It actually worked out pretty well, and was a great source of entertainment. Shay did get a deer this year as well as Chy, but of course I don't have any pictures of them. We had a great season up the mountain, and like always, we had wonderful food.

This year everyone really got into bottled venison. I do Love venison, but bottled is another story! It might taste great but the looks of it ruins it for me. I just cant seem to make my self try it. I did try to help them make it one night, but all I could stand to do was take the pictures.

We have had a busy fun past few months. Hopefully I can do better on keeping up with whats going on.

Happy B-lated B-Day's!

Alright I'm a bit late getting these posts up here but we had quite the week with two birthdays
My baby sister turned 17 on the 2nd.

Chyanne Is the most fun outgoing person I know! I hope I can be more like her when I grow up.

Chris Also had a birthday on the 5th.

My dad is such a fun person to be around. He's a great person to talk to and I'm so thankful to have such a good relationship with him.

I love you both so much and hope you had wonderful birthdays!

Painting & Popsicles

A while ago Chyanne and I painted some little Easter egg things, and since then we have felt very artistic and wanted to paint some more. Well I found a recipe for salt dough so we decided we would give that a try. Shay and my dad went to the wildlife banquet so Nicole and Chy came over and we baked the dough, ate Popsicles, and painted. It was so much fun! I love spending time with them. I'm so glad that they think I'm cool enough to hang out with< (I know that their friends/boyfriends were all out of town, or otherwise occupied)> but still I will take what I can get.

here are some pics from the night:

getting ready to shape the dough (ps chy I love the new glasses your a babe)

ready for the oven

These really are the BEST Popsicles ever

Now this pic took some great work on Chy's part ( remember we were the only three home) I'm glad "chysef" is so good and climbing fridges.

Our little project really was a lot of fun and they turned out great!

Thanks girls for coming over I love ya

Story Time

These Pics are from a while ago, and again are from my cell phone so not the best. We went over to Shay's parents house for Danny's Birthday. Stevie and Shay read books all night, Stevie did most of the reading.

I loved this video

The video is a bit fuzzy, but she was quite the little storyteller!

The Super Game

We had such a fun Superbowl party this year! (or super game as my grandma would say)
Sunday dinner was relocated up to Rick and Wendy's for the big game. It was a blast! TONZ of good food, fun commercials, and even a little football! The best part was the 3-D glasses, of course Wendy was prepared and had enough for every one! Rick was cheering for the Cardinals so naturally that meant I had to go for the Steelers! Which turned out great for me! Tanner and I made sure to keep him posted on the score! I was extremely happy Shay was home in time for the game! He surprised me and came home early Saturday morning, over all we had a great weekend. Here are a few pics I got! I forgot my camera so they are just from my phone and not the best quality!
Sporting the Stylish Glasses

It was actually pretty nice weather, while Rick BBQ'ed we all got to play with the dogs. Cash even came for a while to play with Baxter.

Baxter and the kids.

Thanks Bonzo's for a great game!

Correction

A couple of posts ago I said that my sisters didnt get any deer this year, I spoke to soon! Chyanne got one the last day! Im very excited for her. She spent alot of time hunting and it paid off! Way to go "Chysef"!! (Hopefully ill get some good pics later)

Opening weekend

The opening weekend of the deer hunt was a Blast! Best one ever for me! Mostly because I didn't have a tag!! We went up Friday Night and stayed at the cabin. We stayed up late playing Rumikub and talking all night. Me and Grandma got up Saturday morning to see off the mighty hunters. Nicole and Chyanne were the ones with tags, and they were nice enough to let Chris and Shay tag along to be their guides. While they were of doing their thing, Me and grandma stayed at the cabin and worked on our projects. She of course was sewing, and I was scrapbooking. Later in the day Kami came up and scraped a bit too. It was a very fun relaxing weekend. To me it beat the heck out of having a tag. I learned that lesson the hard way last year. No big ones this year but Nicole did find a trophy for her hard work! Over all it was a great weekend everyone got to do just what they wanted and we all had a good time.

Big 18!!!

Happy Birthday Coley-boly!!

BIG 18
I love ya you big cheese ball!

Dilly Beans!!

Shay Is always raving about "Dilly Beans". Hes been trying to find someone who knew how to make them , then finally decided he would just do it himself! So he found some recipes on the Internet, and one day after work he went to his parents house, and they made Dilly beans. I've never had them so I'll have to let ya know how it turns out!
