It's Begining to Look a lot Like Christmas

It finally snowed!!! Here are my thought on that... I do like the snow, but to be honest I'm ok with the fact it took so long getting here . As long as we have snow for Christmas I'm good. My only worry with it snowing this late, is that the snow will still be falling in May. Its ok if it comes late but that doesn't mean it can end late!

As far as Christmas goes, I'm not ready!! I do have most of my present and all that ready, but it all goes to fast I love this season and its just wizz'en by! I did get my tree done this year by my self. Its not quite the same with out my mom's help, (shes the decorator not me) but I was rather proud of my self. Here are some pics but I must say its cuter in person ;)
Here's a few more around the living room..

(The Third Stocking is for my puppy!)

Well Its coming soon! I hope that everyones as excited as I am!!

Scrapbooking Expo!

Me and Kami went down to St. George again this weekend for the Scrapbooking Expo! We of course found some awesome deals! It was nice to have some new options other then Roberts. Right now my scrapbook is pretty much an "Ode to Roberts", so I'm excited to get some new things going. When we got home we stopped by my parents house, and my mom wanted to see what we rounded up. Then my mom, in true Mary fashion, took some pics! (thanks mom love ya) Click *HERE* to see all our loot! It was a great time and I'm sure Shay is pretty excited I got some good points on his Cabela's card! I figure I'm doing him a favor!

Thriller!!

The day before Halloween Trish and I took off work and went down to St. George to go shopping! Then met up with the rest of the girls, went to dinner and then to THRILLER! So much fun. Thriller is a Halloween dance show put on by Odyssey Dance Theater. There are Zombies all over that follow you around! I was brave this year and actually got some pic's. We even got to see Matt from SYTYCD! We were all so excited we acted like we were 12! We had such a good time we decided to make it a tradition. So all of you who are jealous you didn't get to come, if your lucky we might let ya come next year!

I found this its kind of a wierd clip but it shows some of the dances click *HERE* to see it!

Jack-o-lanterns

Last weekend we went to Tarah and Zach's House to have dinner and carve pumpkins! Its nice to get together and see everyone. I had not carved pumpkins in forever and it turned out to be a lot of fun. The worst part by far was cleaning out all the gunk. Shay did most of that but I did help a little. Then half way through that Shay and Tarah decided we had better make some pumpkin seeds so they got that going.

At first we didn't quite know how to make them but they figured it out and they turned out great! We did eventually get to the carving part.

We all tried to think of creative things to do but in the end they all end up with the classic faces. Thanks Vernons for everything it was a great night!

Correction

A couple of posts ago I said that my sisters didnt get any deer this year, I spoke to soon! Chyanne got one the last day! Im very excited for her. She spent alot of time hunting and it paid off! Way to go "Chysef"!! (Hopefully ill get some good pics later)

Photo Tag!

I got "Photo tagged" by my friend Necia so here goes:
Rules are: first go to your pics, open your 4th folder and the 4th picture then post and comment on it! then tag 4 more people. I was kinda worried what pic It would land on cause I take some random pics, then never delete em. Well I was happily surprised this is actually a fun pic.
A bunch of us went on a trip to California for Spring Break (2007), and the best part was that all 10 of us rode in the RV. It was so much fun, we went to Disney Land and just played around in California, we had a blast and came home with some crazy memories. While were at it here are some more fun pics from the trip...

I tag everyone! Its kinda fun to go back and look at old pics so do it!

Opening weekend

The opening weekend of the deer hunt was a Blast! Best one ever for me! Mostly because I didn't have a tag!! We went up Friday Night and stayed at the cabin. We stayed up late playing Rumikub and talking all night. Me and Grandma got up Saturday morning to see off the mighty hunters. Nicole and Chyanne were the ones with tags, and they were nice enough to let Chris and Shay tag along to be their guides. While they were of doing their thing, Me and grandma stayed at the cabin and worked on our projects. She of course was sewing, and I was scrapbooking. Later in the day Kami came up and scraped a bit too. It was a very fun relaxing weekend. To me it beat the heck out of having a tag. I learned that lesson the hard way last year. No big ones this year but Nicole did find a trophy for her hard work! Over all it was a great weekend everyone got to do just what they wanted and we all had a good time.

Big 18!!!

Happy Birthday Coley-boly!!

BIG 18
I love ya you big cheese ball!

Shay's Deer

Shay got a deer! I'm so excited! I was even more excited to think that his tag was filled and that there might be a break in all the hunting. However my dad was quick to remind me that now the coyotes start and that's unlimited. In fact I think that where he went this morning!
here are some pics:

I'm proud he got a deer but even more so that he took some pictures! He was all by himself so he called me to ask about the self timer on my camera (not once mentioning he had shot a deer). He figured it out and I'm so glad. I like to think that my blog and scrap book are a priority to him! ;) Way to go Shay!

P.S. If anyone wants some venison we have got plenty!

Dilly Beans!!

Shay Is always raving about "Dilly Beans". Hes been trying to find someone who knew how to make them , then finally decided he would just do it himself! So he found some recipes on the Internet, and one day after work he went to his parents house, and they made Dilly beans. I've never had them so I'll have to let ya know how it turns out!

Birthday-Bodies-& Vegas

I was finally able to drag Shay off the mountain for a weekend! There was a break in between the hunts and it just happened to fall on the weekend of my birthday..So i talked him into taking me to Vegas!!

We hooked up with some friends that lived down there, went to dinner, rode a roller coaster, and hung out on the strip. It was a blast! I would have more pics but everywhere I went I couldn't take a camera! I guess they don't care much about my blog! I tried to sneak it to the roller coaster but they caught me! (Kinda embarrassing when the man caught me sticking it in my bra!) Here are a few pic's:

Shay found found some beads on the strip

Of course we had to stop by the fountains for a min.

This was after the Bodies exhibit, no cameras allowed there either-*(shocking I know!)

I had been wanting to see the body exhibit FOREVER! So Shay was a good sport and went with me! It was CRAZY ! I had to keep reminding my self they were real bodies it was amazing the way they were preserved! Click*HERE* to see a video!

On our way home we stopped in St. George to meet my fam at the Rodeo! Its always fun to go see everyone. It turned out to be a pretty awesome birthday! Thanks Shay for everything I love ya!

Sunday Afternoons

I love Sunday! Its such a relaxing day. After church every Sunday we have dinner at Shay's grandma's house. Its so fun to see every one and the food is always delish. Then just about every Sunday my family plays dominoes! SO MUCH FUN!!! It gets pretty intense lots of yelling, laughing, and always lots of cheating! My Grandma cheats and not very discreetly either. So the new phrase is "don't pull a Connie." She has rubbed off on us all. The BEST part is that she denies it, and the even BETTER part is I caught it on camera!! We had so much fun yesterday! I love Sundays and I'm thankful our Families are so close we always have a good time together.

Getting ready to play

Taking a little peek

Just realized she got caught "Pulling a Connie"

This is kinda what the game looks like when your done

The winner for the night!

We're getting a kid!

"So we're getting a kid!"
This is what Shay casually says as we walked into his parents house last night! (They were a little mislead by his comment.)
My dad has some goats he keeps down at his horses to eat all the weeds down, well Shay decided he needed a few to clean up the corrals behind our house. So we went down to check them out ! I expected them to be a lot bigger then they are, they were so little, and kinda cute!

Heres part of the "HERD"
